During the COP29 Conference in Baku, QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), a leading global higher education analytics organization, announced the results of the World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025. These rankings evaluate universities based on their commitment and performance in sustainability, covering environmental, social, and governance impact.
Baku State University (BSU) achieved a historic milestone by securing a position among the Top 1000 universities globally for the first time, ranking 941–950 out of 1,744 institutions. This success represents a leap of over 345 positions compared to 2024, consolidating BSU’s status as a national leader in sustainable development in higher education.
