As part of a field training program organized for students of the Faculty of Biology at Baku State University (BSU), a training trip was conducted to Hirkan National Park. During the visit, students studied the habitats of various plant and animal species in the park and also participated in an educational event titled “BioDay 2025”, dedicated to International Day for Biological Diversity on May 22.
The event was jointly organized under a memorandum of understanding between BSU and the Biodiversity Conservation Service under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
A total of 144 students attended the educational event. They learned about the rich ecosystem of Hirkan National Park, which is included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List, featuring rare and endemic species.
