46 graduates of Baku State University (BSU) have been admitted to pursue master’s studies at prestigious international universities under the “State Program on Education of Young People at Top-Ranked Foreign Universities for 2022–2028.”
Out of the 356 individuals awarded the opportunity to study abroad at the master’s level for the 2025/2026 academic year, 46 are BSU graduates. Among them, 23 will study in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, 18 in the United States of America, 2 in the Republic of Singapore, 1 in the Commonwealth of Australia, 1 in the Italian Republic, and 1 in one of Israel’s leading universities.
The main fields of study chosen by BSU graduates include law and legal studies (such as international law, corporate law, banking and finance law, intellectual property and technology law, international arbitration, and dispute resolution), public policy and governance, finance and economics, computer sciences and analytics (data science, applied statistics, learning analytics, and cybersecurity engineering), biotechnology and biomedical engineering, graphic design, as well as computational and applied mathematics.
According to the QS World University Rankings 2026, 14 of these graduates will continue their education at institutions ranked in the top 10, 25 in the top 20, and 44 in the top 100.
The State Program, approved by Presidential Decree of Ilham Aliyev, aims to create opportunities for young people to study at prestigious international universities, thus contributing to the sustainable development of the country. The program seeks to ensure the training of competitive and highly qualified professionals who can quickly adapt to new technologies, acquire practical skills, and meet the demands of both current and future labor markets while responding to global challenges.
