Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

The Chinese Spring Festival was organized by the Confucius Institute operating under Baku State University (BSU).

The event was attended by Shahin Panahov, Vice-Rector for International Relations at BSU; Ding Tao, Chargé d’Affaires of China in Azerbaijan; Aydan Khendan, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies; Wang Haoqiang, Director of the Confucius Institute at BSU; and other guests.

In his opening speech, Vice-Rector Panahov highlighted the strengthening bilateral relations between the People’s Republic of China and Azerbaijan, particularly the cooperation between BSU and Chinese higher education institutions. He also provided detailed information on the number of Chinese students studying at BSU and their academic performance.

Ding Tao, Chargé d’Affaires of China in Azerbaijan, emphasized that the Chinese Spring Festival is one of the most important national holidays of China and a core component of Chinese culture. He expressed gratitude to the BSU leadership and the Confucius Institute for organizing the event at a high level.

The festival continued with a colorful artistic program prepared with the active participation of faculty and students from the Confucius Institute and the Faculty of Oriental Studies. The program featured Chinese national music and dance performances, and a lottery was organized for participants.
