Baku State University (BSU) Chemistry Faculty, organized by the Student Youth Organization held an event dedicated to Jabrail Day on 4 October. The event began with the performance of the State Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a one-minute silence in honor of the brave sons and daughters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and sovereignty of the nation.
Taleh Gahramanov, Deputy Dean for Social Affairs and Student Work at the Chemistry Faculty, emphasized that the 44-day Patriotic War has become a heroic chronicle of the Azerbaijani people. He highlighted the wise leadership of the Supreme Commander and the Azerbaijani Army’s demonstration of strength and determination in liberating lands that had been under occupation for many years. The speech underlined that the memory of the martyrs will live forever in the hearts of the people, and war veterans will remain examples of heroism and patriotism for the younger generation.
The Deputy Dean also noted the historical and strategic importance of the Jabrail region for Azerbaijan, stressing that its liberation was a turning point in the course of the war. During the artistic program, third-year student Aysun Vəliyeva performed the song “Mountains of Shusha,” and students recited poems reflecting patriotic spirit. A video dedicated to the liberation of the Jabrail district was shown, highlighting the historical significance and pride of these moments for the nation. The event concluded with prayers for the martyrs and discussions emphasizing that their courage in defense of sacred ideals will always be remembered by Azerbaijani youth.
