Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

A meeting was held at the Faculty of Journalism of Baku State University (BSU) with reserve First Lieutenant, journalist and participant of the 44‑day Patriotic War, Perviz Aslanov.

The event began with a one‑minute silence in memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and independence.

Professor Vugar Aliyev, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, introduced the audience to the guest’s biography and emphasized his achievements. It was noted that Aslanov actively participated in the 44‑day Patriotic War and was awarded the medals “For the Liberation of Fuzuli,” “For the Liberation of Qubadli,” and “For the Liberation of Shusha.”

During the meeting, Perviz Aslanov spoke about his journalistic work, his interest in war journalism, and his experience as the host of the television program “Salam Əsgər” on Public Television. He highlighted the strong patriotic spirit among youth and proudly noted the bravery of young people who played a significant role in the Victory history.

Aslanov also informed students about his participation in the 44‑day Patriotic War, particularly the Shusha battles, and discussed the role of media and achievements on the information front during the war.

The meeting concluded with a Q&A session where students’ questions were answered.
