The IV Youth Camp titled “Tracing History: Our Memory Is Our Future,” jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Western Azerbaijan Community, the “Regional Development” Public Union, the “ASAN Volunteers” Organization, and Baku State University (BSU), has concluded in the Quba district.
On the final day of the camp, training sessions were conducted by Gasim Khalilov, Referent of the Secretariat of the Rector of BSU, and Sariyya Orujova, Press Secretary of the “BSU Volunteers” organization.
During the training, participants discussed the differences between international and domestic law and gained insights into their role in protecting the rights of states, citizens, and society.
Following the training, an excursion was organized for the participants to the Quba Genocide Memorial Complex. There, they were informed about the genocide committed in 1918 by Armenian armed groups in Quba and surrounding areas, the mass graves discovered, and the historical exhibits displayed at the memorial complex.
The project aims to provide volunteers with broader knowledge of key issues related to Azerbaijan’s modern history and the realities of Western Azerbaijan, to organize their activities in a program-based manner, and to encourage active volunteer engagement in the systematic dissemination of Azerbaijan’s truths among local and international audiences.
