The application deadline for the “Specialized Academic Training Program for Engineering Education and the Defense Industry Ecosystem”, implemented within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has been extended until 10 June 2026, 23:59 due to the high number of applications received for the Fall Semester of the 2026–2027 academic year.
Within the program, students will have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in practical environments, work on real-world projects, and gain first-hand experience with enterprises and laboratories operating under the Ministry of Defence Industry.
Participants will acquire specialized knowledge and skills in modern engineering approaches and the defense industry sector, while also gaining practical experience in innovative manufacturing and technological processes.
Students who successfully complete the program will be included in the Ministry of Defence Industry’s graduate database. In addition, fourth-year students will be considered as candidates for participation in the “Engineering Education and Defense Industry Ecosystem Industrial Internship Program.”
The course delivered within the framework of the Specialized Academic Training Program will be recognized as equivalent to the corresponding university course, and the transfer and recognition of credits will be carried out in accordance with established regulations.
Application requirements
Only second-year students enrolled in relevant fields of study at the higher education institutions listed in the application form are eligible to apply. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) above 71 points.
Selection stages
The selection process consists of four stages:
I. Registration stage
Applications are submitted through an online platform, and candidates’ preliminary information is entered into the system.
II. Academic performance assessment
Students’ academic records and overall academic achievements are evaluated.
III. Testing stage
Selected candidates take an examination designed to assess their logical reasoning and mathematical skills.
IV. Interview stage
Candidates who successfully pass the test stage are invited to an interview. Final evaluation is based on the combined results of university entrance scores, CGPA, test examination results, and interview performance.
Applicants who successfully complete the initial stage will receive detailed information about the next phase via email.
