Baku State University (BSU) will introduce seven new master's specializations at its Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology beginning in the 2026/2027 academic year. The new programs are Philosophy of Science, Applied Psychology, History of Philosophical Thought of Turkic Peoples, Theory and History of Ethics, Clinical Social Work, Social Work with Diverse Population Groups, and Organization and Planning of Teaching and Learning.

The new specializations are designed to meet contemporary academic and labor market needs by equipping students with advanced theoretical knowledge and practical competencies. The programs cover areas including scientific methodology, psychological assessment and intervention, ethical decision-making, philosophy, curriculum design, social policy, clinical social work, and support for vulnerable population groups.

Students will develop analytical, research, communication, and professional skills applicable across education, healthcare, social services, public administration, and research sectors. Several programs also emphasize interdisciplinary approaches, evidence-based practice, digital technologies, and the application of artificial intelligence in education and social service delivery.

Graduates will be prepared for careers in universities, research institutes, educational institutions, psychological and social service centers, public agencies, policy and analytical organizations, and other institutions requiring highly qualified specialists in social sciences, psychology, philosophy, and education.

The launch of these seven master's specializations reflects BSU's commitment to modernizing graduate education, strengthening human capital, and preparing professionals capable of addressing evolving societal, educational, and social welfare challenges.
