BSU showcases innovative project at Baku Energy Week
03-06-2026

Baku State University (BSU) participated in Baku Energy Week with an innovative project during the second day of the Central Asia Energy Transition Investment Forum.

A special panel session was organized by the International Renewable Energy Agency and the Clean Energy Centre for ECO Region. During the session, BSU doctoral student and researcher at the Student Scientific and Technical Creativity Center (SSTCC), Imran Bayramov, presented the “Clean-Charge” Eco-Energy Station project.

The presentation highlighted that the Clean-Charge project was developed as an innovative solution for energy supply and environmentally friendly energy generation in response to the growing number of electric vehicles. The project aims to contribute to reducing indirect carbon emissions associated with electricity generation from fossil fuels such as natural gas and coal.

It was noted that although electric vehicles do not produce direct emissions during operation, their overall carbon footprint may approach that of conventional internal combustion engine vehicles depending on the source of the electricity they consume. In this context, the Clean-Charge project was introduced as a safe, reliable, and sustainable energy solution equipped with internationally compliant AC charging infrastructure, modern electrical systems, and lightning protection technologies.

The presentation attracted considerable interest from forum participants, and discussions were held on the project’s potential applications in green transportation infrastructure and sustainable energy solutions.

As part of the forum, the BSU representative also met with experts, researchers, and energy sector representatives from various countries to exchange views on the university’s research and innovation activities.
