14 international students will study at Baku State University (BSU) within the framework of the “Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant” program.

In line with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 8, 2023, the candidate selection process for the 2025–2026 academic year of the “Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant” program, jointly implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Education, has been completed. Out of hundreds of applicants from 64 countries, 100 candidates from 51 countries were awarded the education grant.

It should be noted that under this program, citizens of member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement, countries belonging to the group of Small Island Developing States, as well as countries with ethnic, historical, and cultural ties to Azerbaijan and where national minorities reside, will study in higher education institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan at various levels of education over the course of five years.

According to the program’s terms, 100 foreign citizens are awarded the education grant annually, amounting to a total of 500 recipients.
