5 BSU graduates to pursue doctoral studies at Prestigious Universities abroad within the state program

Five graduates of Baku State University (BSU) will pursue doctoral studies at prestigious universities around the world in the 2025/2026 academic year within the framework of the “State Program on Education of Young People at Prestigious Higher Education Institutions Abroad for 2022–2028.”

BSU graduate Khadija Akhundova has been admitted to the Queen Mary University of London in the United Kingdom to study Biomedical Engineering; Zohrab Aliyev will study Earth Sciences at the University of Glasgow; Samira Ismayilova will specialize in Chemistry at the University of Bristol; Edgar Shahbazov has been admitted to the University of Manchester in Molecular Biology; and Natiq Hamedov will pursue Chemistry at Istanbul University in Türkiye.

We congratulate our graduates and wish them success in their academic and professional endeavors!

It should be noted that, within the framework of the State Program, a total of 19 young people will pursue doctoral studies at prestigious universities worldwide in the 2025/2026 academic year.
