25-10-2024

Dr. Lala Bayramova, an associate professor in the Department of Geographic Ecology at Baku State University (BSU), conducted a training session on "Climate Change and Resilience" for participants on the second day of the International Green STEAM Azerbaijan Festival. This event was organized by the "STEAM Azerbaijan" project with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education and the COP29 Presidency.

As a specialist from the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company, Dr. Bayramova provided information on climate change, global warming, green technology, forest ecosystems, the impact of transportation sector emissions on the environment, and other factors contributing to climate change. She discussed the harmful effects of climate change on human life and answered questions from the participants.

It is important to note that this year's festival aims to promote STEAM-based education, develop 21st-century skills among learners, and uncover creative talents. Additionally, it is related to the hosting of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Azerbaijan and the declaration of 2024 as the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World" in our country.
