A training titled “Integration of SDG into Teaching and Research Processes” was held at BSU

Baku State University (BSU) has taken another significant step towards promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations in higher education. A training session on “Integration of Sustainable Development Goals into Teaching and Research Processes” was held at the university, initiated by the Quality Assurance Center and led by the rector’s advisor on quality assurance, Asiman Ilyasov.

The training was attended by vice-deans and relevant responsible individuals from various faculties of the university. The main objective of the event was to promote the wider application of the 17 SDGs within the higher education system and ensure their effective integration into scientific research and teaching activities.

During the training, participants were provided with detailed information on the role and importance of the SDGs in higher education, how these goals can be linked to research and academic activities, and international approaches to applying SDG-based strategies. Discussions were also held on aligning the university's strategic development directions with the SDGs and applying the principles of sustainable development within the framework of quality assurance.
