At Baku State University (BSU), a training session titled "Student Contribution to Sustainable Development Goals" was organized for members of the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC) and "BSU Volunteers" under the initiative of the Quality Assurance Center and led by the university's Quality Assurance Advisor, Asiman Ilyasov.
The main objective of the training was to raise awareness among students about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), encourage their active participation in this area, and support the integration of SDGs at the university. During the event, discussions were held on strengthening students' sense of social responsibility and expanding opportunities for responding to global challenges at the local level.
During the training, participants highlighted initiatives such as the creation of student clubs, the organization of awareness-raising events, and the implementation of social projects. These initiatives are considered significant not only in stimulating students' proactive behavior to contribute to society but also in strengthening BSU’s position as a leading higher education institution in sustainable development.
Asiman Ilyasov, in his speech, encouraged students to actively engage in these initiatives, emphasizing the importance of understanding their social responsibilities and responding to the challenges of the modern era. He highlighted that students’ participation and initiatives play a crucial role in the university’s sustainable development agenda and contribute to BSU’s overall development strategy.
