An astronomy-themed exhibition and cosmic observation session were held for participants of the summer camp dedicated to the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty,” co-organized by Baku State University (BSU), the Eurasian Regional Center of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF-ERC), the “BSU Volunteers” organization, and the “Amanat” Project for the Personal Development of Martyrs’ and Veterans’ Children.
During the exhibition, participants were provided with detailed information about the main directions of astronomy, the structure of the universe, the trajectories of celestial bodies, interplanetary dynamics, and the time differences that occur due to these movements.
Additionally, well-known science-fiction films related to astronomy and space were showcased, with a focus on the scientific elements embedded in their plots and how these elements relate to reality. The exhibition was interactive, allowing participants to actively engage in discussions, ask questions, and share opinions on the topic.
In the evening, a cosmic observation session was held, during which participants used telescopes to observe the Moon’s surface, several planets, and other celestial bodies. The observation process was guided by instructors who provided scientific explanations about the observed objects.
