An info session on programming was held at BSU
07-03-2025

An info session on the programming roadmap for Java backend development was held at Baku State University (BSU), organized jointly by the Student Youth Organization (SYO) and JET Academy.

The chair of the SYO at BSU, Harun Mehdiyev, stated that enhancing the practical skills of students in technical fields and utilizing programming languages that meet the demands of the time are key requirements in the labor market. He emphasized that such training sessions are beneficial for learning evolving trends.

The instructor at JET Academy and employee of Azercell, Mushfiq Manafli, shared insights on coding, industry practices, and practical matters. He noted that backend developers, who work mostly "behind the scenes" of applications, ensure the system's functionality. In other words, they manage the parts of the system that users don’t interact with but are crucial for the service's operation. Backend developers establish the connection between the server, database, and applications, processing data and making it accessible for the user interface. A roadmap in the programming world is essential for successfully completing projects. It helps developers define the stages of development, technologies, and resources to be used in advance.

Mushfiq Manafli explained various technical skills related to server and database management, as well as the process of developing programming projects.

The event concluded with a Q&A session, where students had the opportunity to ask questions related to the topic.
