An awareness training session on the topic “Labor Rights and Legislation” was held at Baku State University (BSU) as part of a cooperation agreement between BSU and the National Observatory on Labor Market and Social Protection Issues under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population (MLSPP).
The aim of the training was to raise awareness among students and young people about labor rights, to equip them with legal knowledge in employment relations, and to support their more prepared integration into the professional labor market. The event was initiated by BSU’s Quality Assurance Center.
Gunel Bakhshiyeva, Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Control and Legal Acts of the State Labor Inspection Service, provided participants with comprehensive information about the basic principles of labor legislation, mutual rights and obligations between employees and employers, procedures for concluding and terminating labor contracts, working conditions, social protection mechanisms, and the implementation of state oversight.
The training was held in an interactive format, allowing participants to join discussions and ask questions of interest. In addition to enhancing participants’ knowledge and experience, the session also helped them better understand their rights in employment relationships.
