On October 4, 2023, a delegation from Baku State University (BSU), consisting of Khalid Bayramli (Advisor to the Rector for Strategic Development and Relations), Xumar Mammadbaghirova (Advisor for Youth Policy and Social Issues), and Shabnam Safarova (Advisor for Digitalization and Information Technologies), visited the Ordu Apiculture Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkey.

During the visit, the BSU delegation was provided with detailed information about the activities of the Ordu Apiculture Research Institute and were introduced to the institute's laboratories.

Within the framework of the visit, discussions were held on the planned establishment of a Bee Disease Diagnostics Laboratory and an Apiculture Research Laboratory under BSU. The technical capabilities of these laboratories were discussed, and mutual training plans were agreed upon with the aim of strengthening personnel potential in this field.

In addition, the delegation explored ways for BSU to extend access to university facilities, such as laboratories, technologies, and plant stocks, to local farmers and food producers. This initiative aims to enhance sustainable farming practices through collaboration between academic experts and the agricultural community.

As a result of the discussions, it was agreed that an academic team of specialists would carry out an initial assessment to evaluate the current situation in this field.
