Shehla Hamidova, one of the first graduates of the “Biotechnology” program at the Faculty of Biology of Baku State University (BSU), has been admitted to a master’s program at Korea University, one of South Korea’s most prestigious higher education institutions. She will continue her studies in the field of “Public Health (Community Health and Social Epidemiology).”
Shehla Hamidova is a recipient of the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS), an international full scholarship program offered by the Republic of Korea. Out of more than one hundred applicants, only five were selected for the program.
The GKS program fully funds all expenses, including four semesters of tuition, a monthly stipend of approximately 1260 AZN, health insurance, travel expenses, and visa support.
Korea University is ranked 61st globally in the “QS World University Rankings 2026.”
Shehla Hamidova completed her undergraduate education with a GPA of 92.32. She is proficient in English and Korean at the C1 level.
