01-05-2025

Baku State University (BSU) has taken another step towards advancing sustainable development and strengthening ecological responsibility in higher education by officially becoming a member of the International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN). BSU is the first higher education institution in Azerbaijan to join this prestigious organization.

ISCN is a reputable international platform established to share best practices and initiatives in sustainability among universities. The network brings together leading universities worldwide to promote environmental protection, social responsibility, and contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is also recognized and supported as a strategic partner by QS, one of the most influential global ranking agencies.

BSU’s membership in this network reflects the international recognition of the university’s sustainability strategy and ecological initiatives implemented in recent years. This step further expands BSU’s contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and strengthens the university’s transition towards a green campus model. Within this membership, BSU will implement sustainability-focused projects, participate in international events, and broaden opportunities for scientific collaboration.
