Baku State University (BSU) participated in the international workshop titled “International Cooperation, Globalisation and Sustainable Development,” organized by Atatürk University in Türkiye. The university was represented by Asiman Ilyasov, Advisor to the Rector on Quality Assurance.

In his speech, Asiman Ilyasov provided detailed information on BSU’s internationalization strategy, measures taken to enhance competitiveness, initiatives implemented in the field of sustainable development, and the results achieved. He also shared the university’s successful practices in these areas, emphasizing the crucial role of international cooperation in ensuring sustainable development in education, research, and social responsibility.

The workshop brought together representatives of prestigious higher education institutions from Azerbaijan, Morocco, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and Türkiye. Alongside BSU, participants included Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (Azerbaijan), Karadeniz Technical University (Türkiye), Hitit University (Türkiye), Van Yüzüncü Yıl University (Turkiye), University of Sharjah (UAE), Delta University for Science and Technology (Egypt), Ibn Tofail University (Morocco), and Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (Malaysia).

The participants discussed opportunities for expanding international cooperation among higher education institutions, promoting global exchange of experience, and launching new initiatives contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.
