He emphasized that every individual writes their own success story and that choosing the right university is a key step toward achieving success. He noted: “BSU has always been proud of its successful graduates. Our university’s most prominent alumnus is the national leader Heydar Aliyev. Among BSU graduates are government officials and members of the National Assembly. To date, BSU has trained more than 200,000 highly qualified specialists for our country. Today, Baku State University leads not only in Azerbaijan but also in the South Caucasus according to international rankings. Moreover, BSU has served as a model institution for many universities in Azerbaijan.”
Starting in 1919 with two faculties – History and Philology, and Medicine – the university has achieved significant development. Currently, BSU has 16 faculties, including 8 in the humanities and 8 in natural sciences. New specialties and specializations are being introduced in accordance with modern trends and labor market requirements, alongside ongoing scientific research.
