BSU Student Scientific Society"s seminar series on the "Year of solidarity for a Green World" concludes

The series of seminars organized by the Student Scientific Society (TEC) of Baku State University (SSU) as part of the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" has concluded. During the final scientific seminar, students from the Faculties of Philology, Information and Document Management, Oriental Studies, International Relations and Economics, and History presented their topics.

Fidan Orujova, a student from the Faculty of International Relations and Economics, highlighted that 2024 has been designated as the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" in Azerbaijan. She emphasized the country's proactive role in combating global warming and noted the significance of hosting the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-29) in Azerbaijan, which will spur innovation within the country.

Aynur Mammadova, from the Faculty of History, delivered a presentation titled "Azerbaijani Carpets and Our Green World," discussing the ancient Azerbaijani craft of dyeing, its importance in carpet thread preparation, and its role in the nation's ethnography.

Nazrin Ibrahimova, a student of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, examined the vocabulary of nature in Eastern languages and provided an in-depth analysis of nature-themed poetry by Nizami and Nasimi.

Nabiba Mammadzadeh, from the Faculty of Information and Document Management, presented a report titled "The Year of Solidarity for the Sake of a Green World and the Goals of Libraries." She discussed the concept of green libraries, their mission, architecture, and functions, showcasing how these libraries operate at a modern scientific level.

Nigar Khanaliyeva, a student from the Faculty of Philology, explored artistic descriptions that celebrate the natural beauty of Azerbaijan in the nation's poetry and prose in her presentation titled "Praise of Nature in Azerbaijani Literature."
