The Student Scientific Society (SSC) of Baku State University (BSU) persists in hosting its seminar series amid the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World."
In the latest session, students from thBe iology, History, Geology, and Journalism faculties at BSU delivered comprehensive presentations.
Nurgul Alizadeh, a Biology faculty student, addressed the perils of drought and salinity in biological organisms due to increased atmospheric carbon dioxide levels and proposed solutions. Alizadeh also discussed the environmental terrorism inflicted by Armenia in Karabakh, highlighting Azerbaijan's zero carbon policy and green energy initiatives in liberated territories.
Farid Jamalzadeh and Nurali Mammadov, History faculty students, presented "The Impact of Wars on the Ecosystem," analyzing the visible and invisible repercussions of war on society, the economy, and the ecosystem.
Gunel Abbasova, a Journalism faculty graduate student, discussed green energy zones in liberated territories, underscoring Azerbaijan's potential in renewable energy sources and its emphasis on energy security and innovative approaches like "smart city" and "smart village" initiatives.
Khayal Huseynov, a Geology faculty student, provided an overview of minerals and their exploration's environmental impact, focusing on Azerbaijan's mineral deposits, exploration techniques' complications, and mitigation strategies.
