A student of Baku State University (BSU), Faculty of Ecology and Soil Science, fourth-year student Saida Rahimli, has been named a winner of the “Azad Mirzajanzade Development Program” organized by the Regional Development Public Union (RİİB) with her project “CMC-Vessel.”

More than 100 students from various universities across the country applied for the program. In the final stage, 10 participants’ projects were selected as winners and received financial support.

The “CMC-Vessel” project focuses on cleaning oil-based pollutants and plastic waste from the Caspian Sea. The prototype, which applies various chemical methods and artificial intelligence, will be developed at BSU’s Student Scientific and Technical Creativity Center by a team of BSU students.

It should be noted that the “Azad Mirzajanzade Development Program”, launched in September 2023, has so far supported numerous successful projects in social, environmental, educational, and innovative fields.
