Baku State University (BSU) students successfully participated in the “Model Satellite – CanSat Training Workshop & Aerospace Symposium,” held on 6–11 September in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The program was jointly organized by the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Representing Azerbaijan, BSU students designed and assembled the “CanSat” model satellite. Launched from a drone at high altitude, the “CanSat” measured parameters such as temperature, pressure, and altitude, conducted aerial imaging, and transmitted all data in real time to the Ground Control Station while simultaneously storing them in the device’s memory. Following the launch, BSU students conducted data analysis and prepared graphs based on the collected information, which they presented to the symposium audience.

At the conclusion of the event, BSU students were awarded certificates and badges in recognition of their successful participation.
