A tree-planting campaign dedicated to the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World" was held as part of the "ECOLEAD" project (Enhancing the Environment: Awareness and Law Enforcement Activities) jointly implemented by the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and Baku State University (BSU).

During the event, attended by officials and employees of the aforementioned organizations, as well as BSU students, trees suitable for the soil and climatic conditions of the Absheron Peninsula were planted along Abbas Mirza Sharifzade Street in the Yasamal district of Baku.

It is noteworthy that the "ECOLEAD" platform aims to prevent environmental violations, share experiences, and raise public awareness regarding environmental protection through the efforts of prosecutor's office employees, ecologists, higher education institutions, and community representatives.

The "ECOLEAD" project is intended to restore greenery damaged by environmental crimes throughout the country. The foundation of the project was established through a memorandum of understanding signed at an event held in Khankendi city among the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and BSU, with Nakhchivan State University joining the memorandum later on.
