The play "Aesop", staged by students of the Culture and Creativity Center at Baku State University (BSU), was showcased at the “Pillə-3” Student Theatre Festival.
The director of the production is the talented actor of the Azerbaijan State Theatre of Young Spectators, Vahid Orujoghlu.
Roles in the play were performed by BSU students: Huseyn Jabbarlı, Fidan Sultanova, Ramazan Ramazanzade, Nuran Atakishiyev, Rana Asadova, and Murad Gambarov.
The play is based on the life and famous philosophical fables of Aesop, one of the classic figures of world literature. The ancient Greek fabulist Aesop (6th century BC) is known for his brief yet profoundly meaningful stories that have offered life lessons across generations. In his works, Aesop skillfully used animal characters to criticize human nature, strengths and weaknesses, and societal issues. Fables such as “The Fox and the Grapes”, “The Wolf and the Lamb”, and “The Crow and the Pitcher” remain relevant even today.
