An awareness event titled “One Step, One Life: Say NO to Drugs!” was held at Baku State University (BSU), jointly organized by members of the “BSU Volunteers” organization from the Faculty of Geology and the Student Youth Organization.

Ramin Allahverdiyev, psychologist at the Republican Narcology Center and lecturer at BSU, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the psychological foundations of drug addiction, the mechanisms of dependency, treatment and rehabilitation methods, and the crucial role of families and society in combating this issue. Using real-life examples, he highlighted the severe consequences of drug use and urged young people to remain vigilant, responsible, and aware of the risks.

The session concluded with a Q&A segment, during which students’ questions regarding signs of addiction and the rehabilitation process were addressed.
