As part of the "Sustainable Development Goals Week," Baku State University (BSU) students, organized by the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC), visited the "Clean City" ASC. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize students with the work being done in waste management, recycling, and environmental awareness.
During the visit, Orkhan Jabbarli, the Head of the Public Relations Department of Clean City ASC, provided detailed information about the organization's operations. He emphasized the importance of waste management, proper waste segregation, and the necessity of raising awareness among youth in this field. Interesting items found during waste segregation were displayed, and intriguing facts about returning these items to their rightful owners were shared.
As part of the visit, students also toured the Balakhani Industrial Park. They were provided with information about the history, operations, and management processes of the Baku Solid Waste Incineration Plant located in the park.
Finally, students were introduced to the processes involved in plastic molding, printing and cutting, lubricant oil production, and recycling. Detailed information was presented regarding the technologies used in these areas and the raw material production processes.
