At the main entrance of Baku State University (BSU), dedicated lanes have been established for bicycles and small electric vehicles.

These lanes were created in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, dated January 30, 2025, on the “Approval of the State Program for the Improvement of Transport Infrastructure in Baku and Surrounding Areas for 2025–2030.” The initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of the urban micromobility transport system in Baku, provide convenient alternatives for short-distance trips using personal mobility devices such as bicycles and electric scooters, reduce dependence on private cars, and alleviate traffic congestion.

Additionally, secure and dedicated parking spaces for bicycles have been established along these lanes.

This approach represents a key element in supporting sustainable and environmentally safe urban mobility development.
