As part of COP29, the next discussion panel of the "Green Dialogue: Innovation and International Cooperation Platform" project, aimed at solving environmental problems and supporting sustainable development, was held with the joint organization of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku State University (BSU), the Public Union for the Development of Karabakh, and the African Youth Development Fund.
The discussion, moderated by Sənan Ağayev, a representative of the Public Union for the Development of Karabakh, was held in the Green Zone of COP29. It featured Professor Tunji Asaolu, Vice President of the African School of Diplomacy and International Relations and Head of the African Youth Development Fund, Asiman İlyasov, Advisor to the Rector of BSU on Quality Assurance, and Liya Bayramova, Executive Director of GEM CRS.
During the panel, Professor Tunji Asaolu delivered a presentation on "Building a Sustainable Future: Key Focus Areas," Liya Bayramova spoke on "Climate Education and Awareness for Children," and Asiman İlyasov addressed the "Importance of Quality Assurance and Rankings for Sustainable Development Goals in Higher Education."
The main objective of the project is to strengthen social awareness and international cooperation to address ecological problems such as water scarcity, soil salinization, and the reduction of forest resources.
Within the framework of the project, the "Green Dialogue Forum" was established to hold an annual forum that brings together government representatives, private sector experts, and members of the academic community.
