On September 4, 2025, a meeting was held at Baku State University (BSU) regarding the establishment of the OIC Model Alumni Association, organized by the Eurasian Regional Center of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF-ERC) on the occasion of OIC Youth Day.

The event was attended by Ramin Samedov, Head of the Department for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Policy at BSU; Rafig Ismayilov, Director General of ICYF-ERC; and Parvin Rahimli, an OIC Model alumnus and researcher at Waseda University in Japan. In their speeches, they discussed the goals and objectives of the Association.

Later, Ramin Habibzade, Deputy Director General of ICYF-ERC, held interactive discussions with the participants.

It was noted that the main purpose of creating the OIC Model Alumni Association is to expand students’ social connections, establish a mentorship network for them, and collect alumni feedback to improve the program.
