The National Ophthalmology Center, known as the Zarifa Aliyeva Ophthalmology Center, is currently hosting a two-day medical campaign at Baku State University (BSU) through its Automobile Mobile Clinic.

The initiative aims to offer medical assistance to both students and faculty members of the university, focusing on early detection of visual disorders, monitoring eye-related conditions, and addressing any findings obtained during the campaign.

The event will run throughout May 17th, providing comprehensive eye care services to the BSU community.

Since 2005, the National Ophthalmology Center, named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, has been actively conducting mobile campaigns to provide free ophthalmological services, particularly surgical interventions, to both urban and rural populations across the country. These campaigns are instrumental in ensuring timely examination of students attending higher educational institutions nationwide, detecting refractive anomalies, and preventing potential complications.

The Mobile Ophthalmological Clinic is staffed with experienced ophthalmologists, including foreign specialists, who are proficient in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions, as well as performing surgical procedures. Additionally, since 2018, the center has also been operating a Mobile Train to extend its outreach efforts and provide comprehensive eye care services to communities in need.
