A training session titled “Relations with Government Institutions and Corporate Social Responsibility” was conducted for students of the Faculty of International Relations and Economics at Baku State University (BSU) by Bayim Ibrahimova, an employee of “PASHA Holding” LLC. The session was organized by BSU’s Career and Alumni Center.
The trainer explained that the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a business model that encourages responsible behavior towards the company itself, its stakeholders, and society as a whole, while also supporting sustainable development. Companies that implement this model are aware of their positive impact across various areas of society. CSR goes beyond mere legal compliance and includes actions aimed at the overall welfare of the public.
Bayim Ibrahimova provided detailed insights on different CSR models — economic, environmental, ethical, and philanthropic responsibilities — as well as the core objectives of CSR within a company: building a positive brand image, expanding the customer base, attracting skilled professionals, and fostering innovation. She also discussed CSR strategies, international practices, cooperation with government bodies, and key departmental focus areas such as support for education, healthcare, environmental protection, community well-being, and women's empowerment.
The session concluded with a Q&A segment, where participants' questions were addressed.
