Diversification of the green economy and systematic, planned, and thoughtful measures are being carried out in our country in the fight against climate change.

According to Ekologiya.az, Rector of Baku State University, Elchin Babayev, said this at a roundtable titled “Information Warfare: The Nature and Objectives of Information Attacks Against Azerbaijan on the Eve of COP29.”

He stated that today Azerbaijan has mobilized all its resources to organize the COP29 conference at the highest level.

“It is no coincidence that 2024 was declared the ‘Year of Solidarity for a Green World’ in our country by President Ilham Aliyev. However, the achievements of Azerbaijan disturb some hostile neighbors and their supporters. The fact that Azerbaijan alone, without international organizations, has implemented the four well-known UN resolutions, irritates our notorious neighbors and their patrons. As a result, these circles, unable to exert any real influence from the perspective of international law, have begun launching information attacks and spreading disinformation against our country. Especially on the eve of COP29, such attacks, threats, and, so to say, dirty campaigns from various political circles are intended to distract us from our goals and cast a shadow on the growing reputation of our country,” Babayev emphasized.
