07-04-2025

The Education Development Fund (EDF) held an information session at Baku State University (BSU) regarding the “StudentPlus” card.

The purpose of the info session was to provide students with detailed information about the “StudentPlus” card and the opportunities it offers, as well as to address their questions. During the event, students were informed about the benefits provided by the card and the discounts available at partner companies.

Ramin Samadov, Director of the Department of Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Policy at BSU, emphasized that the “StudentPlus” cards create significant opportunities for students. He highlighted that the cards are distributed across all levels of education at the university, with BSU students being the first users.

Aysel Maharramova, Senior Specialist of the Project Management Department at the Education Development Fund, gave a presentation on the goals of the “StudentPlus” project and the opportunities created for students. She also touched upon the future prospects of the project, mentioning that new partnerships would be established in the near future, further expanding the discount network.

Anar Verdiyev, Director of Sales Channels at Azerconnect Group, reminded the audience that a collaboration agreement had been signed between the EDF and Bakcell for the “StudentPlus” card. As part of this partnership, “StudentPlus” cardholders are offered an additional 5 GB of internet data each month. This initiative allows students to use online resources more conveniently and freely during their educational process.

At the end of the presentations, a Q&A session was held. Aysel Maharramova and Vali Babayev from the Education Development Fund, as well as Haji Qafarov, Project Development Specialist at Bakcell, answered students' questions.

It is worth noting that the “StudentPlus” project is a joint initiative of the Education Development Fund, Kapital Bank, and the international payment technology company Visa.
