The first training of the “SMART AGRO TECHNOLOGY” project has been held at BSU

The "Smart Agro Technology" project, funded by the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and implemented at Baku State University (BSU), has commenced. Project leader Sara Rahimzade introduced the young participants who earned the right to attend the training based on the selection rounds.

In his address, Bekhtiyar Pashayev, Dean of the Faculty of Physics, emphasized the importance of applying technological innovations in the agrarian sector. He noted that recent discussions between BSU and the Ministry of Agriculture regarding potential collaboration also serve this purpose. He encouraged the youth to actively participate in such projects aimed at enhancing scientific and technical knowledge.

Vusal Mammadov, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Physics, highlighted the significance of participation in such projects for the enhancement of young people's intellectual potential and underscored the university administration's comprehensive support for these types of initiatives.

The trainer of the project, Orkhan Gulehmadov, provided detailed information on modern innovations in agriculture, their effectiveness, principles of team collaboration and group work, the main objectives of smart irrigation systems, their creation principles, technological preparation, and future prospects.

Orkhan Gulehmadov then answered participants' questions and assigned practical tasks. Each team successfully completed the given tasks.

The next training session of the project is scheduled to take place at BSU on September 11.
