05-05-2025

Within the framework of the "CineClub" project organized by the Psychological Support Sector (PSS) of Baku State University (BSU), a discussion session was held with students from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology. The session featured a psychological analysis of "The Great Gatsby", a film adaptation based on the 1925 novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Psychologist Natavan Hasanzada highlighted the importance of psychological film analysis in terms of personal development and emotional awareness. She noted that the main goal of the project is to explore human psychology, character traits, and mental states through cinematic storytelling. Such analysis helps students better understand character behavior, motivations, emotional responses, and psychological development. It also contributes to enhancing their analytical and critical thinking skills.

During the session, students examined the behavior, emotional responses, and internal conflicts of the film’s characters. They shared their interpretations and discussed the cinematic adaptation of the novel, offering thoughtful insights into the film’s psychological depth.
