With the support of the Ministry of Science and Education, the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, and the international ranking agency Times Higher Education (THE), the “THE Eurasian Universities Summit” is being held in Baku.

The summit, taking place on September 24–25, is dedicated to the theme “Transnational Research: From Knowledge to Global Impact.”

Over 300 participants from more than 150 institutions and 20+ countries, including more than 50 international and local speakers, are attending to discuss global research collaborations, the contributions of Eurasian universities to socio-economic development, and the role of higher education in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Key panels and sessions feature speeches from Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan; Balazs Hanko, Minister of Culture and Innovation of Hungary; Phil Baty, Global Director of THE; Ulker Sattarova, Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education; Elchin Babayev, Rector of Baku State University; Rufat Azizov, Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University; Vilayat Valiyev, Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University; Ghassan Aouad, Rector of Abu Dhabi University; Vaqar Ahmed, Rector of Nazarbayev University; Levente Kovak, Rector of Obuda University; Tomas Auf der Heyde, Executive Director of Constructor University; and other distinguished education leaders.
