The training program on quality assurance in higher education has been successfully completed at BSU

A four-day training program on “Quality Assurance in Higher Education” was successfully completed at Baku State University (BSU). The program was organized within the framework of the cooperation memorandum signed between BSU and Kirshehir Ahi Evran University (Turkey), with the support of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and coordinated by BSU’s Quality Assurance Center.

In addition to BSU, the training sessions were attended by representatives from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Azerbaijan Technical University, Khazar University, and Ganja State University. The sessions included presentations and discussions focused on the establishment and development of quality assurance systems in higher education.

Asiman Ilyasov, Advisor to the BSU Rector on Quality Assurance, delivered a presentation during the training, highlighting a comparative analysis of quality assurance systems at higher education institutions and emphasizing the importance of building effective and sustainable models.

Huseyin Shimshek, Vice-Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, stressed the significance of mutual experience exchange between Azerbaijan and Turkey in higher education and noted that such initiatives play a crucial role in strengthening strategic partnerships. Kurshat Ozdemir, Deputy Coordinator of TİKA’s Baku Program Office, also emphasized the contribution of such collaborative efforts to the development of bilateral relations.

At the conclusion of the program, certificates were awarded to all participants. This initiative marks an important step toward strengthening the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Turkey in higher education, supporting sustainable progress in quality assurance, and expanding experience-sharing efforts in the academic sphere.
