Within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,” a special scholarship has been established for students of Baku State University (BSU) by the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman).
The scholarship initiative was realized based on a proposal by Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva and was approved by the BSU Scientific Council.
The cooperation between BSU and the Ombudsman’s Office encompasses several important directions. Undergraduate and graduate students of the BSU Faculty of Law are given the opportunity to participate in internships and research activities at the Ombudsman’s Office. Additionally, experienced professionals with academic degrees from the Ombudsman’s Office are allowed to engage in scientific and pedagogical work at BSU. As a continuation of this cooperation, within the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,” two students—one from the “Law” program and one from the “International Relations” program—who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance will be awarded the Ombudsman’s special scholarship for the current academic year.
This initiative will further promote student and graduate specialization in the field of human rights and encourage scientific research in this area.
