Within the framework of the Career Festival at Baku State University (BSU), a workshop titled “New Challenges in the Labor Market” was held in collaboration with the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the BSU Student Trade Union Committee, the Career and Alumni Center, and the “BSU Volunteers” organization.
Jala Bannayeva, a leading specialist from the Central Career Branch of the State Employment Agency, provided insights into current labor market trends, emerging challenges, employment opportunities for youth, and the government programs implemented in this direction. She also discussed the evolving structure of the labor market, newly emerging professions shaped by digitalization and technological progress, as well as ongoing reforms in the sector.
The info session highlighted the essential skills required for young people to enter the labor market successfully, the importance of internships, volunteerism, and strategic career planning.
At the end of the session, students’ questions were addressed.
