20-05-2025

A series of annual mandatory trainings aimed at promoting the effective integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into teaching and research processes and social importance of sustainability in higher education is successfully continuing at Baku State University (BSU). The latest training session was held under the initiative of BSU’s Quality Assurance Center and led by the Rector’s Advisor on Quality Assurance, Asiman Ilyasov.

The primary objective of the event was to explain the importance of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, as defined by the United Nations, in higher education and to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills for integrating these goals into scientific research activities.

During the training, participants were introduced to advanced methodologies applied in international practice. Interactive discussions encouraged active engagement and exchange of ideas among attendees.

This initiative highlights BSU’s strong commitment to implementing sustainability and globally responsive approaches in higher education. Moreover, the training series is regarded as one of the key strategic actions supporting the effective integration of SDGs into the university’s teaching and research activities, in line with its long-term strategic development plans.
