Baku State University (BSU) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature.
The document was signed by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev and Rector of the Uzbek university Shuhrat Sirojiddinov.
The memorandum envisages the implementation of joint projects aimed at improving educational processes and aligning them with international standards across the faculties, institutes, and colleges of both universities. The agreement also provides for the organization of conferences, exhibitions, seminars, symposiums, short-term courses, and training programs, as well as the conduct of collaborative scientific research.
In addition, the memorandum includes provisions for joint publications in academic journals, the development of shared academic programs, curricula and syllabi, and the exchange of academic and administrative staff, students, master’s students, doctoral candidates, and researchers.
Founded in 2016, the Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature is ranked in the 251–300 range in the 2026 edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject.
