Agreement signed between Baku State University and Anhui University of China on dual degree program
On 15 December 2025, Baku State University (BSU) and Anhui University, China signed an agreement on the implementation of dual master’s degree programs in “Optoelectronics,” “Semiconductor Devices and Technologies,” and “Microelectronics and Nanoelectronics.” The agreement aims to strengthen academic cooperation between the two universities and expand international education opportunities for students.
Within the framework of the dual degree programs, students enrolled in the relevant master’s specializations will study at both BSU and Anhui University, benefiting from advanced educational and research opportunities in both countries. The programs will provide students with modern knowledge and practical skills in optoelectronics, semiconductor devices and technologies, as well as microelectronics and nanoelectronics.
At the signing ceremony, both parties emphasized the significance of the program and highlighted the strategic importance of enhancing joint educational and research opportunities. BSU Rector Elchin Babayev noted that this initiative will expand international experience and research opportunities for BSU students, while Yu Baotao, Chairman of the Board of Anhui University, stated that the program will further develop cooperation between Chinese and Azerbaijani universities across various fields.
The implementation of these dual master’s programs will contribute significantly to strengthening scientific and academic relations between the two universities, providing students with advanced education and research opportunities, and preparing qualified specialists capable of responding to modern challenges.
