Baku State University invites students and the public to enroll in the Environmental Protection for Sustainable Development Goals course. This course provides a comprehensive overview of sustainable development and explores sustainability as a complex, multi-dimensional challenge.

Participants will study topics such as:

• The global flow of energy and materials

• Social and political issues

• Wealth inequality

• The influence of geography, history, and culture on sustainability

• Challenges of collective action

• Conducting a SWOT analysis to assess resilience and prospects in the face of climate change and other global sustainability issues

Weekly Course Themes:

1. Sustainable development and complexity

2. Ecology as a metabolic system

3. Economic growth and inequality

4. The impact of human activity on the environment

5. The problem of collective action

6. Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats

Entry Requirements:
No prior experience or qualifications are required. Participants only need an internet connection and a computer or tablet device.
