An awareness event dedicated to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities was held at Baku State University (BSU), jointly organized by the “Regional Development” Public Union, the “100 Days – 100 Initiatives” campaign participants from BSU, and the “Ümid var” Inclusive Creativity Union.
The program engaged children with disabilities in hands-on activities aimed at enhancing their ecological knowledge, creative thinking, and practical skills. Participants explored the aquaponics system and observed water-based plant cultivation, took part in practical planting activities, and attended a masterclass on painting birdhouses. At the same time, informative sessions for parents were conducted with the participation of psychologists and specialists. At the end of the event, all participants received certificates and gifts.
It should be noted that the main purpose of the initiative was to support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children with disabilities by strengthening their interaction with nature and creativity.
