An awareness event titled “Healthy Foundation, Healthy Future” was held within the framework of the “Healthy Tomorrow” project at Baku State University (BSU). The event was jointly organized by the Baku Main Healthcare Center and the No. 5 Student Polyclinic operating under BSU.
Head physician of the Student Polyclinic, Sevinc Hojjatova, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in raising awareness among young people and promoting health protection. She also provided information about collaborative projects implemented at BSU with the Student Polyclinic.
Specialists from various medical institutions contributed to the event: pediatrician Vusala Aliyeva, psychologist Narmin Musayeva, and gynecologist Esmira Ismayilova delivered presentations on healthy lifestyles, viral diseases, and common health issues. They also discussed hygiene practices that students should observe during their academic period.
The event further addressed key topics such as the importance of a healthy lifestyle, the negative effects of harmful habits including drug use, tobacco, alcohol, and other psychoactive substances, as well as healthy nutrition, mental well-being of youth, types of violence, self-protection strategies, and reproductive health for young women and men. Students’ questions and concerns were also addressed.
The “Healthy Tomorrow” project, involving students from higher and secondary education institutions in the capital, aims to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people and adolescents.
